Wood firing at IIT, powai

Finally some new work!!

Its taken me so so long to figure things a bit. After returning from Gbp, pondicherry last year august i have been trying to find a studio space. I had goa, alibag in mind. well goa turns out too expensive. Then i was very keen on trying alibag for several reasons. Firstly i love the place and its so close to home. yet when i actually went there stayed & worked at Anjani's studio i sensed that this is not quite there. I mean it doesnt get better than Anjani's studio, its perfect and she is so fantastic a person. But i realised that i really wanted to be home, in bombay and teach yoga as well. I cannot not do that. Its a need as strong as doing pottery. So after a lot of internal churning, conversations with Anjani and my lil sis, i figured that i have to be here and stretch out to do pottery.

So here i am , now working at IIT powai. They have  agas and wood firing kilns, studio space to work. Travel is too much, im limited to working with clay only on weekends but atleast its a start. Its something im can make peace with for now atleast.
