H2O-. Group exhibition in AKFD gallery, Jaipur
The first ever Ceramic Trinalle flagged off in Jawahar Kala kendra, Jaipur installation 1st September. At the same time I was part of a show named H2O, Water in AKFD, Sitapura, Jaipur. It is furniture store which has works placed amidst the furniture and lighting. This exhibition continues till 10th October.
The theme for the show is Water.
During an art residency in Hampi I became aware of the sharp, momentous rocks all around. Their silent presence and groundedness filled me with awe. On the riverbank, the flowing waters were kissing the rocks, teasingly inviting them to soften their edges and give up their rigidity. Ever so slowly, one bit at a time, water moulding these rocks to become stones, to sand and eventually to its own nature.
