Apparao gallery organised the first potters market in Chennai. Priya, Saraswati and me were from auroville . Mostly chennai potters which was great for me to see the studio pottery scene in chennai. I was pleasantly suprised interacting with these potters since I was unaware of the longtime presence of ceramics in this city. The audience were largely art collectors. Although there was appreciation for the craft but tableware doesnt seem to be widely used in homes. I guess steel rules here!!!
